Campaigning for re-election on Friday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) blasted "woke" concepts like gender ideology in education.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday campaigned for re-election in Franklin County. The Republican Governor sounded off on a host of culture war issues. including his efforts to ban critical race theory in public schools and combat so-called gender ideology.

As Governor DeSantis controversially signed parental rights and education laws, critics called it the "don't say gay" Bill. He has also fought the Disney Corporation following the media giant's open opposition to the law.

He is currently polling ahead of his Democratic challenger, Charlie Crist, by double digits, and is seen as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2024, trailing former President Donald Trump.
