Vice President Kamala Harris visits Boston to promote the Inflation Reduction Act.
Vice President Kamala Harris visited Boston on Wednesday to promote the "inflation reduction act." The legislation that Democrats have touted as a landmark bill to address inflation, climate change, and health care has been at the centre of the Biden administration's final argument heading into the midterms.
Boston is not a particularly competitive region politically, even with Massachusetts Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mark Kelly. Looking very strong in her race in the past few days, Harris has been sent to several locations that are already extremely friendly to Democrats.
On Friday, Harris visited Bryn Mawr College for a Reproductive Rights Roundtable, which is located in a largely Democratic district. She has also campaigned in Maryland for gubernatorial nominee Wes Moore, who has a more than 25 percent lead on his Republican rival according to recent polls.
