John Fetterman & Barack Obama's Rally at Schenley Plaza in Pittsburgh today |
How many people attended Barack Obama's rally in Pittsburgh?
A massive crowd of thousands of supporters turned up in Pittsburgh to listen to Barack Obama's campaign speech with John Fetterman, Gisele Fetterman, and Jaime Harrison in the closing days of the US Senate race.
A news reporter shared via Twitter that there was a massive line stretching from Bigelow to Craig streets for the Fetterman rally with Obama at Schenley Plaza in Pittsburgh. He also shares some photos and videos, which you can see below this article.
Obama said at a Pittsburgh rally: "Whether it’s out of malice or ignorance, we’ve seen recently big celebrities re-posting vile anti-semitic conspiracy theories online." "And you don’t have to be a student of history to understand how dangerous that is and how unacceptable it is."
Obama also highlights crime in red America, something few Democrats want to do.
"Violent crime has gone up." But, you know, it went up over the last seven years, not just the last two. They don’t talk about the previous guy. It’s gone up in conservative rural places, not just cities.
Obama, stumping for John Fetterman, mocks Dr. Mehmet Oz as someone who's "willing to pedal snake oil to make a buck."
"You want to lose weight?" Take raspberry ketones. You’ve got leg cramps? Try lavender soap. Want to prevent dementia? "Palm oil—a miracle solution!"
In his closing remarks, Fetterman said: "Send me to DC, and I’ll be that 51st vote to eliminate the filibuster and raise the minimum wage." During his speech, two protesters disrupted it, and they were soon jeered by nearby rallygoers. Security arrives after a couple minutes and removes the protesters from the rally.
Obama is also expected to hold his second rally with President Joe Biden in Philadelphia today at Temple’s Liacouras Center. campaigning for Fetterman and Shapiro. We have already seen folks from Lancaster.
