Donald Trump wins CPAC 2024 GOP presidential nomination straw poll, with Ron DeSantis second

Trump easily won the 2024 GOP presidential nomination straw poll at the CPAC 2022 gathering this weekend in Orlando, Florida. Donald emerged as the clear winner in the Conservative Political Action Conference, highly anticipated presidential straw poll, capturing massive support in a hypothetical primary match-up and cementing his status as the heavy favorite for the 2024 Republican nomination among the most devoted conservatives.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis finished with second place with 28 percent support, making him the only other prospective candidate to notch double-digit support. In last year’s straw poll, DeSantis notched 21% support.   Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gets just 2% support, finished in third place.
