During a Senate Commerce Committee meeting, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned witnesses about a new bill that would affect drug prices in the US. Cruz opened by welcoming the witnesses and noting the presence of four doctors. He went on to discuss the potential trade-offs associated with the bill, particularly when it comes to government regulation, which he warned can create compliance costs and barriers to entry for competitors.  The bill in question would impose contractual disclosure requirements, requiring Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) to share data on how much they pay providers and manufacturers for each drug, and it would also prohibit practices like clawbacks and spread pricing. Cruz asked Dr. Mulligan whether the bill's requirements could lead to more or less consolidation...

Questioning Ken over his past concerns about Hunter Biden, serving on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. Cruz pressed on whether or not there were ethical violations by the Bidens. Cruz has long been a fierce critic of the president's son. Charging his actions while his father was vice president included corruption and influence peddling. Democrats and the president himself have defended Hunter Biden, claiming GOP accusations are politically motivated. The Republicans have promised to make Hunter Biden's business dealings and whether his father profited from them central to their investigations in the next Congress. Senator Cruz said: Mr. Kent, you have been outspoken throughout your career speaking against corruption, and I ...

Cruz: So Judge Jackson, all of us will agree that no one should be discriminated against because of race. When you just testified a minute ago that you didn't know if critical race theory was taught in 12, I will confess I find that statement a little hard to reconcile with the public record because if you look at the Georgetown day school's curriculu...

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr At today's Senate Republican press briefing, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed President Joe Biden and blamed his foreign policy decisions for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. His remarks came after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy virtually addressed the US Congress.  Sen. Cruz. in his news conference said: President Zelensky's address to US Congress was powerful and it was compelling. The world is inspired by his leadership and inspired by the incredible courage of the Ukrainian people defending their homeland.  As we have seen these horrific images, of the carnage of human life, of the murders Russian President Vladimir Putin is carrying out in Ukraine. What is so frustrating is that this was entirely preventable. This didn't have to happen. The most significant war in Europe since 1945 since the end of World War 2.  Cruz then explained the 2 specific mistakes that caused this war. He said: There were tw...

'Even Worse!': Cruz Hammers Biden Over Potential Iran Deal

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr At Senate GOP press briefing held yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) hammered President Biden's potential new Iran deal. Cruz started his news conference and said: Guys, Thank you all for coming. The Biden foreign policy is a disaster across the globe Afghanistan is a disaster. Russia is a disaster. Ukraine is a disaster. China is a disaster. But there may be no part of the globe more dangerous in the Biden foreign policy than Iran.  From the first days of the Biden-Harris administration, the Biden foreign policy team set its top foreign policy goal. To negotiate a brand-new nuclear agreement with Iran, the Obama Nuclear Agreement was catastrophically dangerous. And President Biden wants nothing more than to re-enter a deal that is even worse than the Obama deal.  In Vienna, Joe Biden's diplomats have been furiously bending over backward to surrender to the Ayatollah. The Ayatollah who is a theocratic despot reg...

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr At a news briefing on Wednesday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke about a potential new Iran deal. Cruz said 'The White House's Talking Points Are Written By An 18-Year-Old Intern'. Addressing the media with GOP leaders, Cruz said: President Biden and the white house's talking points on energy are both inane and contradictory. The Biden white house maintains that decreasing supply does not impact price if you look at How Joe Biden started his presidency? He started it with a war on u.s oil and gas. You know President Biden tried to say this week the increase in gas prices is due to Putin.  I understand the Russians are the favorite talking point for democrats. We spent four years under Donald Trump hearing, democrats say Russia Russia Russia. And now the Biden White House wants to say all of the disasters of inflation that's Russia's fault too. The one problem is the facts on day one asPpresident Joe Biden can...

Ted Cruz: Joe Biden Becoming President 'Best Thing That Ever Happened' To Putin

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr In Senate floor remarks on Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed President Biden. Cruz said Joe Biden Becoming President 'Best Thing That Ever Happened' To Putin.  I will say Joe Biden's becoming US president was the best thing that ever happened to Vladimir Putin. Biden began his presidency by surrendering by Putin surrendering to Putin waving the sanctions on Nordstrom 2 sanctions bipartisan sanctions that I authored that had stopped that pipeline that had stopped an invasion of Ukraine and Biden decided to surrender to our adversary was a better policy as Neville chamberlain has demonstrated appeasement doesn't work the state of America is strong.  But the state of the union in the state of the federal government in Washington is disastrous, but the one bit a bright light on the horizon that I'm confident president Biden will not point to is that the American people will vote in November and I believe they w...

Karoline Leavitt Karoline Leavitt Discusses The Admin’s Decision To Pick The Press Allowed To Ask Trump Questions Washington, D.C. – During Tuesday's White House Press Briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed questions regarding the Trump Administration's new policy on selecting reporters who will be granted the opportunity to cover President Donald Trump in high-profile settings. The policy follows a recent court ruling by Judge McFadden, who dismissed a lawsuit filed by the Associated Press (AP) against the White House. The lawsuit had challenged the administration's decision to remove AP from certain press events, a move critics claim restricts access to key governmental proceedings. During the briefing, a reporter questioned Leavitt on whether the administration would consider dissolving the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), given the ruling's acknowledgment that the organization has no formal authority over press access. "W...
